Basic grades of structural carbon steel, used in motor-car industry, has been analyzed. Material of the article allows to formulate correctly the requirements, produced to steels of motor-car details, and to choice materials for production or repair of details taking into account properties of steels, setting and conditions of work of motor-car details.
