Measures to improve the efficiency of use of underground explosion-proof transformer substations

Abstract:

Purpose. The determination and substantiation of the explosion-proof factory-assembled mobile transformer substations (TS) effective use in a coal mine.

Methodology. The methodology of TS load capacity is based on the transformer insulation deterioration theory and heat processes randomicity complex accounting due to real load data use, variation of environmental factors influence, technical restrictions and standard requirements concerning electric power quality for mining complexes.

Findings. The findings showed that for Western Donbass region coal mines the TS effective use by its load capacity becomes available deu to taking into account the environmental conditions and use 1140 voltage level for mining complexes power supply. The necessity of operating mode monitoring providing with the averaging interval of the 2.5 minute has been proved. These findings allow us to use TS effectively and to replace them for the reason of factual state deterioration before the equipment failure happens. This will provide an opportunity to form the TS park rationally.

Originality. The universal dependence of TS load capacity on environmental factors influence has been established. Conditions for existing power reserves of the explosion-proof TS load capacity extraction have been determined.

Practical value. Received dependences and determined conditions of TS load capacity use will allow assessing factual and forecasting residual life of e substation. It will be useful for optimal TS park forming in coal mine and up-to-date data bases concerning mining complexes operation modes implementation. It will allow developing principles of electric loads calculations for this equipment type and specific exploitation conditions.
